Product Description

Whether you are traveling to or from the US, which uses 110V, to any country that uses 220V power, you can use this adapter for your small appliances. Dual channel voltage converter from 110V/120V up to 220V/240V and also from 220V/240V down to 110V/120V. Works with devices up to 80 Watts, such as hair driers, irons, or coffee makers. Has AC117V --- AC230V switch, Power indicator light and Surge protection. Compact and ideal for travel. You may require additional prong adapters.

Here is how to use it:
1. Check your appliance's label or manual to make sure it does not require more than 80 watts of power. This adapter can only be used with devices of 80 watts or less. The device should also be compatible with both 50Hz and 60Hz frequencies, otherwise it may malfunction.
2. Next, set the switch on the back of the adapter.
--- If your appliance was intended for use with 110V outlets (US style), then push the switch to the side that says AC117V. For example, if you have a hair dryer that was made for US outlets, but you want to use it in Europe, you would set the switch to AC117V.
--- If your appliance was made for 220V outlets, you should set the switch to AC230V. Then you can use the device with US-style 110V outlets.
3. Plug your appliance into the adapter, and lastly, plug the adapter into the wall outlet. You may need a separate prong adapter for different outlet styles. Please do not use the adapter for long periods of time, it is intended for short-duration uses.

I ordered this item along with the Travel Plug Adapter & Travel charger adapter.

Received the 2 adapters - but never received TRAVEL VOLTAGE POWER COVERTER ADAPTER.

Offering 3 items and only sending 2 is a rip off.

Horrible product

It worked well at the first time I used it, and I was pretty happy about it. But it stopped working about six month later when I was trying to use it again. As mentioned by others, the instruction is very misleading. In fact the instruction on the box in Chinese is the correct one, but not many people can read it I guess. The other instruction (a piece of paper) inside the box is in English and it is quite confusing. If you are trying to use a 220v device, you are fine to try either setup on this product. But if you are tying to use a 110v device, it is dangerous to use this product without knowing the correct setup. Anyway, try to avoid this product. It is horrible.

GREAT LITTLE ITEM!!!

Bought this to run my electric train set I brought back from overseas. Works perfect! Setting it for 110v, or 220v is a little tricky as the switch is small and hard to read the small print. Instructions in English would be helpful. But, having used these type of converters before it was a SNAP! Problem solved, worked like a charm.

Dangerous Item

This product should not be sold, much less used by anyone. It is a very high risk to equipment. The instructions are unclear, and just what the device does is not clear either. If you treasure your camcorder, rechargers, or other equipment, don't use this. I am surprised Amazon sells it without giving adequate warning.

Missleading Product Information

In order to convert 220V to 110V you will need ADDITIONAL prong converter. This product does not have the suitable European standard plug-in prongs. Also, the switch labels are very confusing.It may blowup your 110V equipment if the switch is in the wrong position. I returned the product and per their instructions - shipped it back in the original delivery envelope. US Post office returned the envelope since it was opened. I re-shipped it on my own expense. As of August 30th, 2009 I am still waiting for a refund or any response. I would not recommend this product.
